spent the entire day hunting for a banyan and a peepul sapling.i noticed very little of the things i used to notice usually .what do i notice on other days too?i cant really put my foot on right now...but then i got to see a whole lot of interesting thingumabobs.the roads are lined with some very old trees.some trees are left by themselves while others have little make shift barber shops, fruit stalls, concrete bases to sit on but mostly shrines built under them or on the lower branches.specially on peepul trees. surprisingly wherever i came across a banyan tree a peepul tree was not far off.in vedic texts the peepul and banyan are supposed to be husband and wife trees.a romantic notion,so subtly bizarre, but this was the very fact i went on to look for the saplings in the first place..i just do them on impluse, these things and i cant really explain why...hmmm.but i got my saplings, bonsais actually stunted little minatures of the gigantic ones they grew close too.i ripped the banyan sapling right off a wall and almost fell into a drain.the peepul one i came by easier, pulled the little thing out of the ground near a tyre repairing shop. The old muslim chap has a deaf assistant and two little boys helping him.I suppose they were his grandchildren.i found it rather sweet that they helped him without question and he in turn teaching them the ropes of the trade they will inherit perhaps.I also learnt how a hole in a tubeless tyre can be fixed temporarily.so much to see,so much to observe.so so much to learn.today was a good day, because all the while my father and my husband the two most important men in my life were with me.I wiled away the day noticing such things as i have mentioned while they discussed the future and went around looking for prospective locations for a future business plan.I am lucky.
